Our goals are to enable organizations and individuals to have access to reasonably-priced sound and vibration measurement equipment that meets national and international standards for accuracy and precision.
Herb Singleton, founder of Cross·Spectrum Labs, has gained 10 years of extensive real-world experience consulting for a variety of government, academic, and private clients. He has performed or supervised sound and vibration measurements across New England and all around the country for projects involving transportation noise, construction noise, industrial noise, room acoustics, and loudspeaker performance. Mr. Singleton is experienced in presenting acoustic measurement results in the context of local and federal regulations, and applicable national/international standards as well as providing comprehensible descriptions intended for a lay audience. Mr. Singleton also developed one of the first world wide web directories focused on acoustics.
Mr. Singleton has recognized the need for accurate data collection in resolving disputes, solving engineering problems, and addressing noise pollution. Mr. Singleton founded Cross·Spectrum Labs to help organizations and individuals obtain access to affordable sound and vibration measurement solutions. Mr. Singleton has followed the development of technologies such as web services and digital signal processing (DSP), and is using these technologies to make precision measurement systems and services accessible to all.
